Bakery owner, Josh Virkler, was born and raised in Ellington, CT. After a brief residency in Illinois, where he started a successful Tea Room, he returned to Ellington with his wife and 5 children.  He first worked as an employee for the popular Farmer's Market staple, LuAnn's Bakery. Josh had a grand vision for LuAnn's and helped bring it to life in March 2017, opening their first brick-and-mortar location at 238 Somers Road in Ellington. Their second location, LuAnn's Coffee and Good Eats Drive Thru, opened in 2020 and is located on West Rd in Ellington, connected to the Big Y Express. In January 2022, LuAnn's Bakery Hub production facility opened at 420 Somers Road in Ellington, and is proud to be the home of LuAnn's dedicated Gluten Free Marketplace kitchen, as well.
